Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt
Just in time for the Fourth of July, this cool and refreshing Peanut Butter Frozen Yogurt is the perfect healthy treat for your get together!
Who doesn’t love peanut butter? I for one am a huge fan. I can eat it by the spoonfuls right out of the container. And I often do.
Recently I had been pondering making my very own batch of ice cream or frozen yogurt. I opted for frozen yogurt. It’s a little healthier than ice cream. Don’t get me wrong, ice cream still triumphs frozen yogurt but if you want a delicious, healthier snack, frozen yogurt is definitely a great choice.
This peanut butter frozen yogurt is pretty simple to make. Just 5 simple ingredients combined, loaded into your ice cream maker and churned for barely 20 minutes provides you with a creamy treat that won’t make you feel guilty for eating it. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, just pour the peanut butter frozen yogurt mixture into an air tight container, cover and place in your freezer for a few hours.
Now I’m somewhat picky about what goes into my ice cream. While I love chocolate chips, I feel that they can be a little overpowering in ice cream. I opted to top my fro-yo with chocolate chips but you can definitely add them to your batch during the last 5-10 minutes of churning.
What kind of goodies do you like to add to your ice cream and frozen yogurt?

I love peanut butter anything!! The fact that this is yogurt makes me giddy!!! Time to dust off the ole ice cream maker and get mixing!
Thanks for stopping by, Tanya! I love this frozen yogurt. Now Ken didn’t like it too much but I thought it was delicious! It is a little tangy since I used Greek Yogurt so if tangy isn’t your thing, you may not like it. But seriously, I was having a hard time NOT eating the mixture before I froze it! It was so good!
Arrrgghhh! All of these ice cream posts are making me want to buy the ice cream attachment for my mixer. Do you think it’s worth it?? I mean, this fro-yo sounds soooooo good. And I’d love to create fun flavors. I just wonder how much I’ll end up using the attachment. Recipe pinned!!
I didn’t buy the Ice Cream attachment for mine. I ended up buying a Cuisnart machine. It was cheaper and had better ratings than the KitchenAid attachment! I think I am going to try making actual ice cream this weekend! :) Thanks for pinning, Meghan!
Just made frozen yogurt yesterday! I love this version!!
Awesome! What kind did you make?
Raspberry! on the blog tomorrow!
Sa-weet! Headed over there now!
I love peanut butter and this ice cream is calling my name! I would crush some Oreos in here. Oh YUM!
OMG, that would be fantastic! Cookies & Cream IS my favorite ice cream. Throw some peanut butter in and you have one fantastic treat!
oooo looks super! :)
Thank you!
This looks great and I love the use of greek yogurt. I just photographed some ice cream I made this week too. Tough to take photos of ice cream in the summer, isn’t it!! Your photo makes me want to dig in with my spoon.
It sure is! It was starting to melt fast. I open my sliding glass door when taking photos because I get better lighting that way. Once that hot, humid air swept in, that frozen yogurt starting melting fast!
Thank you so much for stopping by, Holly!
You are killing me! This looks awesome and I looooooooove peanut butter, I’m talking eat it by the spoonfuls! I just want us to cook and hangout together!!!

Is there any way that you can do this without and Ice cream maker?
Sure is! There are directions in the post but here you go! “If you donât have an ice cream maker, just pour the peanut butter frozen yogurt mixture into an air tight container, cover and place in your freezer for a few hours.”
WOW!!! I totally missed that in my first read through. :D Thanks. :)
You’re very welcome! :)
Yum!!! Looks delicious… I can so eat peanut butter straight out of the jar as well. In fact, when I was pregnant that was my go to snack of choice. {its protein :)} Great recipe… who doesn’t love peanut butter and chocolate chips! So gonna try this next time I make fro-yo!
I often come home from work, usually hungry and needing a quick fix to hold me over until dinner is ready. Peanut butter is usually my go to snack! I just love it so much. I even have a jar of it in one of my desk drawers at work!

This looks so delicious! I need to get an ice cream maker. My “ice cream” making abilities are currently limited to recipes that are compatible with my magic bullet lol.
Oh wow, LOL! Hey at least you have something that does the job, right?! :)
It looks good and it’s super easy – I like it!!
Thank you, Winnie!
What about subbing the sugar for another sweetener? Will it still work? I’ve never made frozen yogurt so I wasn’t sure if it was necessary for the chemistry of it all.
I think it will work. I am new at ice cream making so I am not 100% sure but I know that you can buy ice cream made with Splenda so you should be able to make it yourself as well. :)
I have to try this for my husband! He’ll love it!
It’s always great to find recipes that the men will enjoy! Thanks for stopping by, Dorothy!
This makes me want to go out and buy an ice cream maker! Thanks for linking up to Two Girls and a Party!
You’re welcome, Nicole! Thank you so much for stopping by!
Oh! I totally forgot about peanut butter for ice cream ingredients! I’ve never tasted it but I bet this is delicious…and it sounds like very simple to make too. I need a big bowl of this ice cream and relax… :)
If you love peanut butter, you will love peanut butter frozen yogurt and peanut butter ice cream! This was so easy to make. Once the churning started, it was done in less than 20 minutes!
All these look so great, I love peanut butter! The Frozen Yogurt is now on our Summer Bucket List.
Thank you, Krystal!

Haha, I think you have found it by now, amirite? Ha, that means “am I right?”

Hi Julia, I am requesting permission to use your Peanut Butter Yogurt recipe in a cookbook. Please e-mail me privately and I will tell you more about it. By the way, I consider myself a “peanut butter addict” and my husband is a craft beer “snob.” I think we would all get along!

I made this recipe. I can vouch that it is very good in flavor and texture! My only modifications were to use crunch peanut butter and to add a tablespoon of cocoa powder during the last minute of churning in addition to chocolate chips.
LOVE the addition of cocoa powder and crunchy peanut butter for a little crunch! Thank you for letting me know you enjoyed the recipe. :)
